The wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor (Mrs.) Folu Adeboye has assured Nigerians that despite the myriads of challenges the country is grappling with at the moment, it will come out triumphantly at the end.

This, she made known while preaching at the RCCG Exousia Dunamis Parish, Lekki Phase 1, Lagos where she dedicated the newly completed edifice and worship center of the parish. The parish falls within the jurisdiction of Lagos Province 8.

In her sermon titled, “Overflowing Help”, she enjoined worshippers not to put their trust in mortal man but in God. She noted that the fulfillment of man’s promise is premised on his mood at any given time and is sometimes fraught with painful disappointment.

The affable woman of God, who led the congregation in prayer for Nigeria, further observed that nothing can be achieved in life without the help of God. Quoting copiously from the Bible to support her claim, she noted that God’s methods of help are unlimited and should be sought after by everyone.

Adeboye, whose message was sub-divided into three segments, defined a helper to be someone who has contributed to meeting a need in another person’s life and stressed that such is “crucial” to everyone in life.

She noted that only God is qualified to fit into the position of overflowing/unfailing helper, even as she explained that“overflow” to mean “to spread beyond limit.”

While admonishing the congregation to fix their gaze on God, Adeboye maintained that “ordinary man cannot help someone to fulfill his dream in life except God.” She further added that in a manner reminiscent to children looking up to their parents for sustenance, every man should look up to God.

Lamenting at the current level of unfriendliness in Christendom today, the cleric submitted that the church should be a place where people receive comfort and supply and therefore called on churches to extend the hand of fellowship to the needy, both within and outside its tentacles.

The Pastor in charge of Lagos Province 8 and Region 2, Pastor Joseph Obayemi, expressed great delight at the visit of ‘Mummy GO’ as she is fondly called and assured that the visit would bring about great transformation and change that will resonate throughout the province.

While calling on Christians in politics to shun double standard, he also implored the national leaders to rule the nation in their fear of God.

“If we stand on the tenets of faith andprove our mettle and maintain the standard of the word of God, whether as a pastor, accountant, banker or journalist, our nation will be great,” he said.

“Our national leaders should imbibe the fear of God. When this is the case, they will know that God put them in the position they occupy to help the masses who look up to them for help. Then, it will become easy for them to put in place what will transform the nation and enhance citizens’ wellbeing.
