If you have been following the drama in the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), you would know that the president, Ibinabo Fiberesima does not see eye to eye with rival, Emeka Rollas. Rollas was the major opposition to Ibinabo during the elections that threw her up as AGN president, and had also since rejected the result. So, it came as a shock during the week when the two were seen hand in hand.
It was gathered that the Okrika-born freedom fighter, Comrade Tom Ateke, was behind the reconciliation. The two were reconciled at the 52nd birthday party of the Okrika high chief, who staged a three-day celebration for his family, friends and fans. Ibinabo and Emeka hugged each other and promised to sheathe their swords as the warring parties were warned to desist from tarnishing their image as well as that the guild and what it stands for.
“This is the way we should live. We should all live together as one family, Emeka should support Ibinabo’s ambition and Ibinabo should lend listening ears. I don’t hate people, I try to settle all quarrels and let peace reign because that is what we all need and should work towards in Nigeria,” Ateke advised the warring parties.
