great reception by movie buffs who make up a large part of the audience.

For the actress and producer, it was her day of honour as she became teary while her movie was screened at the cinema.

The screening, sponsored by Procter and Gamble, had Matini, classic cocktail brand on ground to treat the guests to some refreshing drinks while small chops was in surplus supply.

From the quality of the picture, to the sound to the fantastic camera angles, Cobweb scored high among the cinema audience, let alone focusing on the talented casts who gave award-winning performances that turn heads.

The movie, which was directed by Toka McBaror, parades talented acts like  Dele Odule, Funsho Adeolu, Ayo Adesanya, Foluke Daramola-Salako, Uti Nwachukwu, Tamara Eteimo, Mary Lazarus among others while it introduces two new acts, Kayode Salako, Foluke’s husband, and Olamide Davis.

Speaking on her latest exploit, Daramola-Salako said: “I can’t thank God enough for this day. I am overwhelmed I must be honest with you. I can’t stop these tears from rolling. I didn’t expect this even though I knew I would get positive reviews. This is my first English movie and I am encouraged to do more.”

Cobweb tells the story of a young boy named Sam Amakiga (Olamide Davis) whose father, Akiga desperately wants him to become a scientist because he didn’t have the opportunity of going to school. Though he has two daughters, all his attention is on Sam his only male child. By so doing, he neglects his daughters and eventually, Sam becomes the star he wishes for, but to the detriment of his sisters who suffered abuses.

For its amazing dialogue, good comedy and superb story-line, pundits have already tipped Cobweb as another award winning movie from Foluke Daramola.
