Asaba, the capital city of Delta State is really wearing a new look befitting a state capital; and if what this reporter saw at the Asaba International Airport last Saturday, June 28, is anything to go by, then Governor Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan should be given a thumbs up.
Unlike some airports in the country where you find part of the roof dilapidated, surroundings dirty and with dysfunctional facilities that of Asaba was looking sparkling clean and functional. Even the conveyor belt was a sight to behold but works.
As for the entrance, it was a matter of artistic beauty, as the airports automated slide door was in top shape. The ambience of the airport gave credence to the argument by some people that those criticising the project are doing so out of ignorance.
