When it was reported that the profile of Anita Oyakhilome has been expunged from the website of Believer’s Loveworld, popularly known as Christ Embassy, barely three days after she filed a divorce suit against her estranged husband, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, General Overseer of the church, many took it with levity.
Some members of the church also could not believe it when it was revealed that information about Anita was yanked off Pastor Chris’ personal website.
Rather, they vehemently denied knowledge of sucg developemnt.
Sunday Independent can authoritatively reveal that the just released October edition of Christ Embassy’s monthly devotional, Rhapsody of Realities, usually authored by the couple, did not feature contributions, name or photograph of Anita, either on the front or back cover.
When a member of their church, who joined in the free distribution of the publication was asked last Sunday why Anita was excluded, he confidently replied, “Anita will feature in the next edition.”
The October edition is unlike the August and previous ones, which had Chris and Anita as authors.
It however remains to be seen if Anita will write in the next edition.
Meanwhile, Kemi Filani, a blogger, wrote during the week that Pastor Chris, as he is popularly called, has no intention of settling his differences with Anita and has indeed appointed a highly respected female church member, Miss Yemisi Kudehinbu, who is a Chief Executive and pastor, to play a key role in the Believers’ Love World Nation, the umbrella body in charge of publishing Rhapsody of Realities.
The devotional, which was started many years ago by the now estranged couple, usually had both their pictures and writings on the pages.
