BooksIn Nigeria today, many youths are faced with the quest to succeed amidst unemployment, poor electricity supply, poor economy. However despite these challenges some other youths have become successful. How can one become successful? It was this quest that led to the publication of the book Dynamics of Positive Thinking.

Positive thinking is one tool that is used in overcoming failures or preventing one.

Chapter One highlights the importance of spiritual insight based on divine wisdom and knowledge, and not neglecting the gift of God.

The author seeks to explain how positive thinking can lead to success in life and what positive thinking really entails. Without sounding too spiritual, the author gives simple and clear biblical verses to explain each topic.

As a consultant in administration and a motivational speaker, the writer brings his expertise to play in this 86-page-book and a five-chapter book in which the author clearly states how to dismantle the roadblocks of negative thinking which hinders success in life.

The author teaches how to break the spell of negative mindset by knowing who you are, he writes, “Do you know who you are? As your identity is important in the physical so it is in the spiritual. Your ability to identify with God makes you spiritually motivated to realise what you ought to be on earth.”  He cited Jabez as an example from the bible.

“And Jabez was honored more than his brothers, but his mother had given him the name Jabez, saying because I gave birth to him in sorrow. And Jabez made a prayer to the God of Israel, saying if only you would truly give me a blessing and make wider limits of my land and let your hand be with me and keep me from evil, so that I may not be troubled by it. And God gave him his desire.”

(1 Chronicles 4:9)

Chukwu realises that life is not fanfair, but a warfare, where possibilities may become impossible.

He writes about Challenges that Oppose Spiritual Identity. Another example cited was that of King Hezekiah; how he prayed and lived longer.

He believes in the existence of spiritual manipulation while cautioning the readers to be careful of false prophets and ministers as most youths are after quick miracles and prosperity.

On how to overcome problems, the writer suggests meditating right with prayers, praises and fasting.

He also emphasises on the importance of spiritual insight. He says spiritual insight is based on divine wisdom and knowledge, and not neglecting the gift of God.

What are the factors of spiritual identity? They are asking questions, thinking and acting wisely.

The author states that prolonged suffering is an indication of questions unanswered.

The book also dealt with having faith in God, ways to determine faith and how it grows. – “Now faith is the subject stance of things hoped for and the substance of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1.)

I became intrigued when the writer shared a personal experience on page 32-encouraging readers to be strong in God through faith.

The writer, who is also a poet, did not hesitate to beautify his work with a well written poem to further explain the dynamics of positive thinking.

In Chapter Four, the reader will learn about accessing identity through prayer, knowing who you are through prayer, confronting challenges through prayer and advantages of being prayerful.

When trials come, they are properly responded to. They become raw materials in God’s hands to make us into what we ought to be. (page 47)

Again the writer shares a personal experience of how he realised his potentials.

The author sums up the book by saying there is life only in Christ.

Dynamics of Positive Thinking aims at bringing spiritual wisdom and positive understanding of your ability.

Published by Nobel-Div Limited, it is written in simple English for easy comprehension and it makes use of biblical verses and examples to buttress the issues being discussed making the book inspirational and motivational.

The author writes motivational books, fictional and non fictional prose, poetry and drama texts. He believes in the societal emancipation through sound morale ethics.

He holds a PhD, BA in English. Bsc Marketing, DBS, ACIA, MCIA, a consultant in administration.

This book is recommended for those who desire to be great achievers.
