Mursty Adinoyi, one of the most successful television producers around today, has revealed the secret behind his success.

According to him, Tosin Dokpesi, wife of Raymond Dokpesi, founder of the renowned Africa Independent Television (AIT), is the person who inspired him to come up with the concept of his extremely successful TV programme, Hitlist N Cruzin.
Speaking in a chat with Klieg Light, he said, “I really want to thank Mrs. Dokpesi for inspiring me to think out of the box, and to generate the idea for Hitlist N Cruzing.
“What really happened was that, about eight years ago, I was a staff of AIT Lagos and then I was transferred to Abuja.
“When I got to Abuja, we in the production department had a meeting with Chief Dokpesi. She told us to go and start thinking out of the box to come up with ideas for unique television programmes as her husband, Dokpesi, was ready to help young people like us through free air time.”
Describing the fateful meeting as the turning point in his life, he added that, “Right from that meeting, I began to think, and I came up with a programme, Get Cooking, which she loved. But I didn’t stop my thinking with Get Cooking’s success. I kept thinking, and when I came up with Hitlist N Cruzing, I realised it was so unique that I had to reserve it for myself and that I had to bring it to Lagos because it was an entertainment programme; so I came back to Lagos.”
Although Hitlist N Cruzin is presently one of the most popular entertainment programmes on air, Adinoyi said he is not satisfied with its current level, and he is working to take it higher.
