According to its founder Seun Adeleye, Md, Enhance 360 Ltd, WAJO is a multi-faceted dance focused project aimed at touching and enriching lives of dancers, dance lovers, dance enthusiast and people from all walks of life.

He said: “WAJO is not a dance school or dance company.  We are a platform for dance to take on a mean of its own through dancer. As you will observe everyone on the high table are renown and notable dancers and dance institution and companies. We seek to bring everyone together to form and create the future we have all dreamt about for dance in Nigeria where dance can contribute to the national economic GDP.

“The core values guiding all we do are passion, integrity and excellence. A tree does not make a forest, hence the need for dancers and her institutions to form a unified front and establish standardized systems within which to operate. Establishing a pathway to success for aspiring dancers to follow just like in the comedy and music genre of the Nigerian entertainment industry; create awareness on the benefits of dance to the populace, which may help shape their perception of dance and dancers in the society and conduct regular training for dancers at every level (basic, intermediate and professional).

As part of our effort, a 13-episode dance television show tagged ‘WAJO on TV’ has been produced for airing but being limited by funds. Nonetheless we are relentless in our effort to craft a better future for dance as we continue to seek new avenues, affiliations and support from organizations and individuals with the capacity to drive the growth we desire.”

WAJO  which is in the process of being registered as a not for profit, non-governmental organization began in April 2013 as a monthly dance event at Freedom Park, every last Thursday of the month, has metamorphosed into a dance project with various offshoots.
