The campaign by the National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) to make drug counterfeiting a thing of the past got a boost during the week when award-winning musician, Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo, popularly known as D’Banj, visited the new ultra-modern regional administrative headquarter and laboratories of the agency in Lagos.
D’banj, who was conducted round NAFDAC’s laboratories at Oshodi and Yaba by officials of the agency led by the agency’s Director General, Dr. Paul Orhii, commended NAFDAC’s activities in the recent times aimed at making the country drug-free as well as for efforts to save the lives of millions of Nigerians.
His words: “I am very impressed and inspired by what I have seen at NAFDAC laboratories and other offices. Before now I could not distinguish between a genuine drug and the counterfeit. to commend NAFDAC for their good works.”
The NAFDAC boss, Orhii, who was highly elated by D’banj’s visit, said that the musician’s association has become a morale booster and source of encouragement for the NAFDAC regulatory workers, who are saddled with the responsibility to safeguard public health
