Rising actress, Nsikan Isaac, who debuted as a producer last weekend with the premiering of her movie, “The Banker” is definitely on the way to write her name in gold.
The actress took a bold step recently after she delved into a subject many notable producers shy away from. She’s using her new film to make case for female bankers whom the society perceive as being morally bankrupt.
Nsikan, who read Petroleum Engineering from River State University of Science and Technology, Port-Harcourt, said the film which she describes as partly a true life story and a fiction, is centered on a female banker whose fiance’s parents wouldn’t allow their relationship to blossom because of the negative opinion they have about women who work in the banking sector. But at the end of the day, the lady proved that despite the odds, there are still female bankers who are morally upright.
The actress who just returned to the industry after being away for few years says, she ‘s using the movie not only to re-launch her career, but also to make a serious case on behalf of these ‘misjudged’ bankers.
She insists that not every single lady that works in the bank, either as a marketer or a Client service officer, has immorality question hanging on her neck. The movie, starring Mbong Amata, Ifeanyi Kalu, Nsikan Isaac, Seun Akindele, Whoba Ogo, Belinda Effah among other stars, will soon be released on DVD nationwide. Directed by Ikechukwu Onyeka, Emem Isong was the consulting producer.
