The CEO Sleek Studio Nigeria; Dr Ebele Ugochukwu a Dermatologist, while introducing the S.Studio Skincare range, enlightened the guests about the S.Studio Skincare line, consisting of the exfoliating and lightening range, which she said provides all the skincare needs for women of color and do not bleach the skin while noting the need for sun screen protection (spf) day cream for our tropical climate. While adding that it is important people get the right information, so as to know what to look out for in choosing the right skin product.
“As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility, the company is creating an accessible avenue for disseminating the right information to the Nigerian public in a bid to dispel all the rumours and myths and particularly to educate on the dangers of steroids and other harmful bleaching agents. Ignorance is one of the major reasons people are still using these types of products on their skin.
“With millions of brands in numerous shopping avenues both concrete and online, it is becoming increasingly difficult to know what to look out for in selecting the skin range that best suits you,” she stated.
Speaking also at the event, Dr. Ayesha Akinkugbe a consultant dermatologist at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), encouraged women to avoid exposing their skin to direct sunlight and ensure they exercise regularly, rest and maintain healthy diet to overcome skin problems.
