Lawal Olelekan Olumo popularly known as Konga whose single Kaba Kaba hit the airwave years ago is back into the industry after leaving the industry for few years and his lifestyle.
With his latest return, this creative artistes promised pleasant suprises for his fans.
The talented musician, who took Nigerian Entertainment by storm, after his cameo appearance in Banky W’s Ebute Meta single few years ago, hinted on his return from America and was also unveiled as the headlining artiste of Nigeria’s leading record label, Morgan Entertainment.
Konga Daily Independent learnt , has just signed a juicy recording deal with Morgan Entertainment, an American based record label, which debuted in Africa few years ago.
Konga we scooped was given a brand new Cardilac STS, 2007 model, as well as a tastefully furnished apartment in Festac and a long term recording deal with the company.
Konga is said to have assumed a new and upgraded lifestyle, courtesy of Morgan Entertainment, stated a close friend.
Speaking on the joy of his new found fortune, Konga told our reporter that he is currently working on the release of his promo album, which will comprise of three banging hot singles, like Kilonwa, featuring Vector, As E dey Hot and, Star Lomo, which when translated in English, means ‘a star is borne’. The singles which will have a fusion of Konga slogans and style, were all produced by top music producer, Laylo
Konga, likeable artistes, energetic and humorous, started singing as a street free style artiste in EBUTE METTA back in the days.
His style of music and lyrics is called “ENO” which is a dialect used by ladies way back in Badagry. It was a coded way of talking when you don’t want others to know about their conversations.
He also started out performances under the auspices of LARRY KAY EVENTS in Universities and polytechnics all over Nigeria.
Konga has been able to make headway with various Collaborations with A list artistes such as “Ja won si” Ft 2 Face Idibia, X-project “lori le”, Olu maintain “Jedi Jedi”, Banky W “Ebute metta video”,Mr Kool “Boogie Hoogie Fever”, Morachi “Lock him up” and many more.
