Imole Oloketuyi, Tunji Olugbodi of Verdant Zeal and Governor Amaechi
Last Sunday, November 17, organisers of 2013 Best Of Nollywood Awards led by Seun Oloketuyi gathered nominees and select media men for a dinner with the Rivers State Governor, Rotimi Amaechi, in Port Hacourt.
The exclusive event had several Nollywood stars and top dignitaries in Rivers State in attendance as the thespians and the governor wined, dined and interacted on ways and avenues to boost the multimillion dollar industry.
It was not a night of speeches as even the governor did not give any. It was a night of fun. Various artistes were on stage including the pride of Port Harcourt himself, Duncan Mighty. Comedians Bash and Koffi also performed. Rivers hospitality was well represented by the state traditional troupe that the entertained guests with a display of tradition.
The state’s commissioner for tourism expressed the commitment of Rivers State to the development of the arts. He also promises a spectacular outing at CarniRiv which will hold in December.
Spotted at the event were Alexx Ekubo, Basorge Tariah Jr., Segun Arinze, Ik Ogbonna, Moji Olaiya, Fathia Balogun, Belinda Effiah, Adaora Ukoh, Doris Simeon, Ademola Muyiwa, Biodun Okeowo amongst several others.
