As part of the activities lined up to celebrate the second anniversary of her company, Gazelle Enta10ment, Nollywood actress, Jenifer Eliogu, recently hosted colleagues, friends, business associates and Nigeria’s fashion and entertainment icons to an evening of music, comedy and fashion show.
Held in Surulere, Lagos last Sunday, the event attracted top celebrities in the society, music and movie stars as well as other leading stakeholders of Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
Speaking to Box office at the event, Eliogu explained the reason for the public launch and presentation of Gazelle. The actress stated that Gazelle is an evolution of the contemporary challenges emanating out of Nigeria’s entertainment industry and in that view, poised to meet the expectations and yearnings of all Nigerians and other relevant stakeholders in the country’s entertainment industry. “Gazelle is positioned on a tripod mission of adding value and raising the bar of the entertainment industry especially with particular attention to music, movie and modeling to the rest of Africa and beyond. It’s what I see as a global projection,” Eliogu said.
Buttressing this, her partner, Mr. Frank Nwabuani, disclosed that the Gazelle’s concept is a reflection of the inner workings of the two directors who were charged with the responsibility of bringing in their diverse experience and value adding resources to bear on the industry.
“We actually conducted a scientific feasibility research, did consultations, engaged top stakeholders in the entertainment industry in a fact finding dialogue which to a very large extent, enlarged our scope as well as enabled us with a platform on which G.E. is set to activate, deploy and accomplish its mission of making a difference,” Nwabuani said.
The evening witnessed a showcase of fashion runway exhibition, musical performances and comedy displays by top Nigerian acts that inclused Tunde Ednut.
Top celebrities such as Yomi Fash Lanso, Wale Adebayo, Bayo Bankole, Moji Olaiya, Iyabo Ojo amongst others were all treated to an evening of frills and thrills.
