Former Governor of Anambra State, Senator Chris Ngige, has a style that some of his ardent fans are emulating, his specially made kangol cap otherwise known as bicycle seat cap in local parlance.
This cap is also popularly called papa’s cap because of its popularity amongst the elderly elite who know what time it is in fashion. It is a style that elite aristocrats wear with their smoke pipes and walking stick.
Ngige, who is also known as Onwa, has kept this style for years that it is now his style identity. Many may argue that for his height, he needs a style that would make him look taller, but on seeing our popular senator in his papa’s cap, his body fitted safari suits and his walking stick; you will agree the whole package stands him out. It distinguishes him from the crowd.
Others may say he chose this style to hide his bald head, but it is a fact that seeing Senator Ngige without his identity cap will make you look twice before you recognise him.
