THE Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) is ready to partner with O’jez Entertainment Awards.

This was revealed during a courtesy call by top management staff of the Lagos Network Centre of the largest TV network in Africa on O’jez Entertainment Limited on Tuesday. The visit was facilitated by Paul Ogazi, a veteran sports journalist and assistant director of the NTA to introduce the new zonal director, Mrs. Adenike Olufade, to the MD/C.E.O, Chief Joseph Odobeatu as well as staff and consultants to the entertainment company.

Ogazi said the visit was important in the sense that Lagos Network Centre of the NTA has been enjoying a robust relationship with O’jez since 2006 and “we deemed it necessary for my boss to visit this man (Odobeatu) that has been of assistance to the centre since 2006.”

Mrs. Olufade was happy about the sustained relationship between the two organisations and asked for more areas of cooperation and synergy.

“We are ready on our part to synergise with O’jez in any area possible; so we are waiting for a proposal in that regard so that we can take it up from there. But I want to thank O’jez for all the assistance it has given to us since 2006 as revealed by Mr. Ogazi and we look forward to many more years of fruitful relationship,” she said.

Chief Odobeatu on his part said he was happy to be associated with the NTA brand through Paul Ogazi and for him “it has been a mutually beneficially relationship.”

He listed the over a decade old O’jez Entertainment Awards reputed to be Nigeria’s only monthly award ceremony given out to distinguished Nigerians, as one area the NTA could partner the organisers in.

The zonal director on the spot agreed with him and asked for a proposal to that effect to be handled by Ogazi.

Odobeatu told Mrs. Olufade about the new O’jez outlet inside the premises of Ikeja Club, which was opened on February 1, 2014, describing it as an upgraded version of its parent restaurant inside the National Stadium premises, Surulere and of course the Opebi Link Road, Opebi outlet, all in Lagos as well as Abuja and Ghana O’jez which is opening in a couple of weeks.

“We always try to outdo ourselves when we open new outlets while we upgrade old ones to meet the present day standards;  O’jez Ikeja is the new thing in celebrity restaurant in Lagos and Nigeria, and this is not just gain saying, a visit will convince you about what I am saying.”

O’jez Ikeja, Odobeatu told the NTA delegation, “is a modest spaced restaurant with a terrace section just in case you are an outdoor person. A large open space like that of National Stadium’s will offer the same service of a big screen where live matches would be screened and live shows held.”

On why O’jez is always inside the premises of popular monuments. He said, “O’jez is a household brand, O’jez is a national brand that is why there is an outlet inside the National Stadium, Surulere, Ikeja Club is a world brand that has been with us for decades, so the bottom line is, great brands always have a way of bonding together, the marriage is always natural and convenient, so don’t blame us (O’jez),”
