The legends cut across all sectors of the society, some of which include music, literature, performing art, sports, politics, artistry and many others. They have also been grouped into five categories: Perennial Legends, All-Time Legends, Today’s Legends, Next Generation Legends and Kids’ Legends; which serves to reiterate the reason for the show- celebrating legends, making legends, and inspiring legends.

Honoured in this first season are Legendary Rasheed Yekini, Legendary Jimi Solanke, Legendary Raskimono, Legendary Patrick Doyle, Legendary DJ Jimmy Jatt, Legendary 2face Idibia (also known as 2Baba), and many others across all five categories.

The format includes an insightful interview, a performance, and the stamping of each legend’s footprint on the Sand of Time, and the actual presentation of the footprint-turned-award, in every edition. Organisers say that the show will be on air soon.
