Korede Bello: The Teen Mega Superstar

One of Africa’s desired and loved singer Korede Bello  is one creative mind whose talent and versatility is paving way for him. KB as some choose to call him is one of the protégées of Mavins Record boss Don Jazzy

The 19-year-old singer who formed his first music group while he was in Primary six is an instrumentalist and writer, an indigene of Lagos. Signed to Mavins label in February 2014 and ever since then he has not disappointed music lovers across the continent.

Korede-BelloFrom his exceptional performance in famous Doro bucci and Adaobi, the “mega superstar” according to his boss Don Jazzy is very obvious in no record time will become an international recognised singer. His popularity and his fan base increased shortly after the singles which he co-featured with his label mates were released.  His latest effort Godwin was the icing on the cake as the song which is still ruling the airwaves is a national anthem. GodWin is currently the first on the iTunes music charts (Nigeria) and has spawned a movement that is keeping the song on top of majority of the radio charts and airplay. The banging single which is seen to be semi-gospel and semi pop by fans, is one of the biggest hits in 2015

The artiste, who once said he fell in love in music and music fell in love with him started performing on stage at the age of seven, staged named African Prince and he wrote his first song at age nine.

Though he is yet to have an album, he said he intends to get to a level in which listeners will get blessed just by listening to his songs.

Aside his music prowess he is admired for his ever endearing good look, his ever dazzling hair and his winks.

According to information available on his website, Korede believes: “First, the more alcohol free you are, the better your health and the happier you become.  Secondly, having a clean lifestyle attracts less drama, exercising, planning, eating good food, and being positive always will make you happy.”

His brand according to him preaches peace and noting gives happiness and peace like being at peace with God.

Korede Bello whom some industry analyst have tagged as Africa’s Justin Bieber has also secured endorsement deals with Woodin Nigeria, representing some of Africa’s Top brands. A likeable personality and amazing charisma he possesses. He is expected to be one of Africa’s greatest voices for this generation.

The young superstar is not beclouded by fame, he understands that even as a celebrity he has a role to play by getting involve in humanitarian activities as he has been involved in Cancer Awareness Projects, charity, and patriotic campaigns.

Korede who performed at President Buhari’s inauguration dinner in May, 2015 has bagged various awards and nominations. Such as;  Most Promising Act To Watch (Nigeria Teens Choice Awards 2014), Youth Revelation of the Year Music (Ping Naija Awards 2014),  Meritorious Award 2013 (Down Syndrome Foundation Nigeria), Best Use Of Social Media (Top Naija Music Awards 2012), Best Song With A Message (Top Naija Music Awards 2012),  Most Promising Artist (Top Naija Music Awards 2012), Afro Pop Artist Of The Year (Top Naija Music Awards 2012), Young Promoter of Cultural Heritage (Gong Africa News Magazine 2012), Best R&B SINGLE (Male) (Yem Awards 2012), Most Wanted Artiste (Hype Award 2012), Indigenous & Revelation of the Year. (Tush All Youth Awards 2011)

Korede as his first name implies is indeed a harbinger of good things as his music and style is redefining music in Nigeria thus bringing good unto the land.
